Mgr. Jan Švarc devotes himself in his legal practice to all areas of law, but above all he is one of the recognized experts in criminal law. He conducted the defense in several high-profile cases, the most notable of which was the case of Ali Fayad. While working for his client, he was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Lebanon, where he spent nearly seven months in captivity.
Mgr. Jan Švarc is the author of a number of texts concerning the above mentioned criminal law, he always stands behind the client, he always adapts the defence to the individual needs of the client.
However, he did not always pursue advocacy. At the turn of the 1970s and 1980s he studied radio technology at the Secondary Industrial School of Communication Technology and CTU. He graduated from university after three years, but to radio technology, which is still his great hobby, he was devoted professionally until the Velvet Revolution. He traded in coal in the 1990s and lived briefly in Paraguay, South America, from 1997 to 1998. In 1999 he became a director of a debt recovery company and after 2000 he fulfilled his dream and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University. He worked as a paralegal at JUDr. Vladimír Řičice in Prague and then founded his own law firm. Mgr. Jan Švarc has three sons. His biggest hobby is radio amateur broadcasting on short waves, he his call mark is OK1UU.
Mgr. Jan Švarc is a member of the Union of Advocates of the Czech Republic.
